With winter well underway and inflationary pressures still high, you might be wondering: which is a cheaper way to heat your home — a wood burning stove or central heating?

Heating prices are expected to remain relatively flat or decrease for many this winter, according to a U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) forecast. However, it’s still important in these high inflationary times to keep the cost of energy as low as possible. According to the EIA, U.S. households that heat with natural gas, or those that are located in the West, are expected to pay less on heating bills than last year.
